The HPA Pointers conference takes place at Central Hall, Westminister, London SW1 on 27-28 November, 2008.  National and international speakers will review the latest evidence and cutting edge information on occupational exposures.

The opening keynote speaker, Dr Susan Wilburn of the World Health Organisation (WHO), will detail the global burden of occupational exposures and their impact on the workforce.

Programme sessions will focus on the prevention and management of bloodborne viruses and TB within the healthcare setting.  There will be presentations on local experiences, managing needlestick injuries and pre-employment screening of healthcare workers.
